About Us
It started with a donkey named Sweet Pea
Then came a pig named Frank
And a silly goat named Cedric
The Backyard Barnyard Sanctuary
The Backyard Barnyard Foundation began in 2010 to help support a long time neighborhood farm that was home to rescued donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and various other critters. Little did we know that two years later we would actually own the farm and become a sanctuary with a motley crew of rescued barnyard animals we call The Backyard Barnyard Gang living in our backyard.
We are not a rescue and do not adopt out.
We are a sanctuary providing a permanent and
loving home to the animals in our care.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help spread the word that kindness and compassion starts with us and we must extend that to those around us, no matter the species, as well as to our planet.
